Program Details
Aparajita has its registered and head office at Indore for the administrative and monitoring activities. As of now, Aparajita Mahila Sangh, has its active presence in 30 districts of Madhya Pradesh and supporting 30000+ families in the state including 3000+ women self-help groups. In the last 20 years, Aparajita got opportunity to work with various national, international, CSR and Govt. agencies and supported them in achieving their project goals in satisfactory manner and got success in providing maximum program benefits to the community members.
SHG and JLG Formation
To improve Socio-economic status of women Aparajita has implemented Self Help Group Promotion programs in the region; as of now, Aparajita has formed approx. 3000+ SHGs and 1000+ JLG in the area. These programs are majorly supported by NABARD, WCD, NULM, MPGB Banks etc.
Entrepreneurship Development Trainings
It is one of the major development activity to convert community groups into producer groups by providing entrepreneurship trainings. Aparajita has provided various entrepreneurship trainings to the community members on Lac Bangles, Stitching, File Folder Making, Food product Making, Bamboo Product, Broom Product, Vegetable, Hand Bag, Mask Making, Decorative items etc. These programs are supported by NABARD and other funding agencies.
Financial Literacy and Financial Inclusion
Aparajita is regular conducting financial awareness program and activities in the field. These programs are focused to promote awareness on banking processes, Banking services, digital banking, cyber fraud and Govt. scheme offered by the banks. These programs are supported by NABARD, MPGB Bank, SIDBI, RBI etc.
Skill Development Program
Job Oriented skill development training programs for young and unemployed members of the community has been implemented by Aparajita with job assistance and support for self-employment. Aparajita provided skill development trainings, exposures and placement / marketing support to the candidate to ensure sustainable livelihood of trainees. As a Vocational Training Partner (VTP) Aparajita provided skill development trainings on Computer, Tally, Soft Skills, Beauty Parlour, various product making etc. These programs are supported by Ministry of Skill Development, Jila Janpad etc. After successful trainings placement has been done at nearby industrial area and interested candidates for self-employment has been linked with bank to start their own business.
Agriculture and Agri allied
Farmers Club, Farmer Groups and Producer Organization has been promoted by Aparajita to increase the profitability of agriculture. Technical trainings on low cost farming, organic farming, exposure to new technology, credit linkages etc. has been provided to the farmer. Also, models for bulk sale and purchase has been developed to reduce the input cost and increase the profitability of the business. Also, agri allied activities including goat rearing, dairy, organic, vadi etc. promoted among the farmer to ensure 365 earning from business in all seasons. These programs are supported by NABARD, self-initiatives and other agencies.
Health and hygiene
Aparajita has conducted programs for ‘Swatch Bharat Mission’ especially at the panchayat level by conducting Street Drama’s and awareness champs. Aparajita periodically organizing health awareness activities at village level with aanganwadi worker and health workers for regular health check-ups of women and children. Aparajita is regularly conducting health camps, eye camps, seasonal disease camps etc. in rural area with collaboration with local medical department to provide door step medical facilities to the community member.
Aparajita team actively provided various COVID-19 trainings to SHG leaders as ToT to control spread of virus in rural area. Also, distributed free masks, sanitizers, PPE kit to the COVID frontline workers in the area
Education
It is one of the major object of Aparajita to promote good education among the girls; therefore, Aparajita providing school books, stationary etc. to the girls students and also supporting them with returnable grant support to pay the school fees in case of emergency.
Environment
Since long time Aparajita is working on water management for agriculture and drinking, deforestation & reforestation, to reduce use of chemical pesticides in agriculture etc. With the help of SHG member and panchayat, Aparajita has developed rain harvesting system, water recharging points, drinking water supply setup etc.; similarly, each SHG member is motivated to plant a tree and take care to grow in the nearby area to increase the greenery.
CSR
Aparajita has conducted CSR programs with SIDBI and other regional industries focused on banking, health & hygiene and infrastructure development. Also, common infrastructure development programs has been implemented at village level on public-private partnership model.
Micro Finance
To provide easier and low cost credit support for livelihood activities of the SHG member, micro finance was the key operation of Aparajita for inter Group loaning from year 2001. To meet the legal compliances of MFI Operations, in year 2006 Aparajita registered a SHG Federation under MP Cooperative Act-1999. Objective of this cooperative was to provide higher return on savings to the SHG, to promote inter SHG Loaning and to attract MFI funder for funding support. As on now.
