History

Seeds of Aparajita Mahila Sangh was laid down in year 1996-97 in a community development program implemented by FWWB and Municipal Corporation of Indore. Under this program few women Self Help Groups formed and converted into a SHG federation in year 2001, named as ‘Aparajita Mahila Sangh’ with a fighting spirit to bring the social change in the community for women empowerment & livelihood promotion.

Slowly and gradually a small plant of ‘Aparajita’ grown as a big tree with multiple branches to support community in development of health, education, banking, skill development, employment, environment and women empowerment etc. sectors.

Aparajita Mahila Sangh started its’ work from Indore city; slowly the work area increased to central and western Madhya Pradesh with a aim to serve whole country to support the ground trodden community in all development needs.

Aparajita Mahila Sangh has developed unique community development strategy based on the women centric Self Help Group model with a though that ‘one woman lead the development of whole family’. Community development activates of Aparajita usually started with w-SHG intervention and slowly engage all community members including male and community influencers to derive the best results from the activity and to achieve the expected outcome in a qualitative and time bound manner.
